Update: Back from the wilderness…
Hello to all our lovely BEAN members! It has been a long period of radio silence from us, for which we apologise – but what a long strange few years it has been: nationally, internationally, professionally, and personally. But, that’s all behind us now; time to look towards the future! BEAN has some plans in the oven, for re-energising the organisation, and to get back to what we were set up to do: help to disseminate and encourage our creative practices in all their many forms, and to help bring people together in order to do so. So, stay tuned for more on these fronts!
While BEAN has been more dormant than we would have liked since our last updates, we haven’t been entirely inactive. For example our membership in CIME/ICEM (the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music) continues, including BEAN’s participation in CIME’s recent General Assembly, including our submission of the audiovisual work “Study no.2: Picket fence and chips” by composer Jonathan Pitkin, which was performed in a concert at the Salle Molière – Opéra Comédie in Montpellier, with more performances coming up, including at the Autumn Waves Festival in Brussels at the end of the month.
We promise more regular updates moving forward, and, with our engines starting to rev again, we confess – it feels good! So, more to come…
